What Guests Are Saying
Tipsaw Lake offers a peaceful and relaxing camping experience with well-maintained facilities, clean bathrooms, and friendly hosts who ensure a pleasant stay. Visitors appreciate the spacious, wooded sites and beautiful hiking trails, making it a great destination for nature lovers. Although there are some issues with hot water in showers and the absence of a dump station, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness of the campground make it a hidden gem for camping enthusiasts.

Great location not far from the interstate. Town of Leopold had a beautiful old church we anttended, St. Augustine, and a great restaurant, Marcy’s.

Pros:
-Bathrooms were super clean.
-Individual showers w/ hot water!
-Campsites were close but secluded enough to feel comfortable.
-Everyone was quiet and respectful
-The staff was amazing! (We checked in late and I received a call with great directions on how to find the park from one of the staff members!)
-About 30 minutes away from Holiday World. We opted to stay here because 2 nights cost less than one night at a hotel.
Con:
-No cell service. (Some might call that a pro, LOL!)
-The closest Walmart was a half hour away.
Overall, we had a great experience and the cons are more minor inconveniences. I’d stay here again.

It had been several years since I’ve been to this campground. I used to go there when I was younger and I always enjoyed it. It is better and the same in all the right ways. Super friendly folks, clean bath houses, spacious beautiful campsites, we just really enjoyed it. No access to cellular was a little bit of a challenge but only because of worrying about whether coming through. My weather radio would not even pick up. The campground host came around and spoke with everyone and told them that they would come by and let people know if there was any severe weather that warranted sheltering and where th shelters were located. I thought was really nice.
