We stayed in a Class B RV at South Slope site 7, which was nearly level. Great campground: it was incredibly quiet while we were there, and lots of understory provides good privacy between the well-separated sites. We almost never heard any road noise at all from SR 37 or I-64, and even when we did, it was barely discernible. (Not the case when we walked over to check out the North Face campground, where the road noise was more pronounced. Also, RVers take note: many, if not most, of the North Face sites would involve impossible leveling scenarios, so you'd want to do some reconnaissance before choosing one.) The newish bathhouse was spotless and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the showers were all unavailable throughout our nearly week-long visit (there was no explanation, but they appeared to be undergoing a repainting project). The dump station is not on-site, but it's easy to find a couple of miles south on SR 37. Continue past the Circle S/Citgo convenience store (will be on your right) to the Branchville Correctional Facility entrance (will be on your left, directly across the road from the Tipsaw Recreation Area entrance). After you turn left toward the correctional facility, the dump station will be on your left. Note that there are no trash cans or dumpsters at the dump station, so be sure to make use of a campground dumpster before you leave.
