Sites were great and people (hosts) friendly. Facilities were great for camping. We were amazed by the amount of ticks we picked up just from walking the trails in the 1st week of April.

Nice campground. Came for the eclipse so it was a short visit. Would like to explore the park more in the future.

Stayed 2 nights for the solar eclipse. I didn't know what to expect since I just booked a site to be able to see the eclipse. But once we got there and explored the area I was impressed. Nice beach area and trails. I like how the campsites were not right next to each other so you have a bit of privacy. And each site has its own view from on top of a ridge. I recommended this place to a friend and I will definitely be back as well.

Our camp hosts were wonderful. The responded right away to any question or request.
The front gate staff was equally helpful.
Clean, well-maintained facilities. Tent Campsites on SP loop were quiet and private, in that they were a few (very steep) steps below the roadway.
Good bicycling, especially on the main road to the west of the campsite. While the road was hilly, the scenery was gorgeous.

Overall this is a very nice campsite and I would visit again. Without leaves on the trees we were looking into our neighbor's site on 1 side. This will not be an issue in the summer as there is a buffer zone of trees. There is a new toilet house under construction (4/2024) but for now there is a single vault toilet for the loop which was kept reasonably clean. There is a common area pond in the campsite loop. They were enforcing the 2 car per site rule (they have overflow parking) but otherwise we were left to enjoy ourselves. My only real complaint is that the electric did not work in my electric site.

Watched the eclipse. Bathrooms were very clean, drinking water was close to our campsite and clean. Hosts were friendly.
Rain fly on the tent failed and we were miserable all night, but that wasn't the site's fault!

Clean facilities and ample distance between campsites. Showers only had warm water long enough to wet hair, then turned cold. , Gate attendant was friendly filling up water bottle.

Absolutely perfect. We were there for some eclipse camping. I expected huge crowds. I did not experience that. We experienced a well maintained, beautiful campground with wonderful camp hosts and huge campsites. We will be back. Did I say wonderful camp hosts?? So nice.

Great campground with an outstanding staff. We got such great help from the hosts as well as maintenance staff as we prepared for the eclipse viewing.
