About Hardin Ridge

Hardin Ridge is a 1,200-acre recreational complex located on the shores of Monroe Reservoir in Hooiser National Forest. The complex includes six shady campground loops, two picnic areas with shelters, and two rental cabins. The area offers something for everyone, with activities like camping, picnicking, boat launching, swimming, nature walks, and interpretive programs offered in a forested environment.

We love Hardin Ridge! We've camped there many times and have always had a wonderful experience. This time was no exception. Our site was clean, quiet, and beautifully wooded. We enjoyed walking and riding bicycles around our own and other loops. The hosts were friendly and helpful, as always. There were T-shirts for sale at the gate, and we purchased two. The hosts on duty helped us find sizes and processed our payment quickly and efficiently. Most of all, we love the peace of the forest at Hardin Ridge. We hope to return in the near future!

We were in the Holland Loop and it was quite nice except the bathroom/shower house. It was quite filthy and I got to meet a dead centipede and about 10 other dead bugs in a puddle on the floor during a sit down session. Other campers told me that all of the other loops had been upgraded. I guess the old bath house just got neglected.
