West Overlook Campground

Wonderful amp ground. We loved riding our bicycles throughout the area. We will return!

What a nice surprise! The sites are roomy and private. The bathrooms are convenient and clean. We enjoyed our 3 days at this campground and we’re treated with a visit from a Bison! We will come back!

Beautiful, clean campgrounds. Since I tent camp, I would have liked bathrooms closer.

Campground was beautiful! Very well maintained, sites were gravel and fairly level. Hookups were in good condition. Staff was very courteous and helpful as well.

Our original reservation was at Tailwater West. When we arrived, we had no cell phone or TV reception, so decided to try to move to West Overlook. The friendly gate attendant made the change for us with no problem and even said she would try to get us a refund. Since then, the refund has been processed. Thank you for the excellent service.

Have been camping there for years and we love it there just wish bathrooms would get Remodeled so they were nicer

We had a pleasant and quiet week staying at West Overlook site #65. We enjoyed watching the activity on the water just behind our camper. Our site was nice and level with the cemented pad, but it was a bit crowded with the spaces along this area being so close to each other. The area and the restrooms/shower house were neat and clean. We were camping there during an extremely hot week this time around, and we know campers must accept the weather that comes with being outdoors and camping away from home. But we did find that with the standard electrical service being only 30 amp that we could only use one of our two roof mount air conditioners in our fifth wheel, and with temperatures reaching far above 90 degrees that week, the one unit simply could not cool the entire camper. Upgrading the service to 50 amp would make it much more accommodating for those with large campers, And some nice shade trees placed near the camping sites would help tremendously, and it would nice to see some young trees planted for the future of this area of West Overlook. Other than that small inconvenience we really did enjoy our stay at this campground.
