The bathroom were clean, but very hot and humid. Taking a shower was like doing it in a sauna. There is no ventilation. The handy cap bars on the walls were t. o hot to touch. The heat inside the bathrooms felt like 115 plus degrees. Something needs to be done to reduce the heat. Someone with a health condition could be at risk.

The campsite was clean, sunrises were amazing, warm summer breezes, sunsets were phenomenal! Everyone around the campsite was kind to give a wave. It was a great time, despite the trash pandas aka raccoons.
Will be returning.

Been staying at Whitebreast for over 20 years during the Nationals. Always a great experience. Wonderful location. And Volunteers Dan & Sarah are the best.

We stayed at site 98 and had a decent view of the lake. Site was level ish if you parked in the middle. Lots of great green grass but that came along with lots of bugs. The site was electric only but the nearest spigot was only about 50 feet away. The fresh water fill station is co-located with the dump station when you first get to the park. Water pressure was fairly strong so it didn’t take long to fill our 54-gallon tank. Beach access is a short drive away and the boat launch is closer to the entrance of the park just past the check-in booth. One nice surprise was all the bald eagles we could see from our patio!
TV antenna picked up anywhere from 20-40 channels and worked most of the time. Verizon cell service was good enough to stream anything from our hotspot. Some parts of the site also picked up 5G but it was weak and not really consistent.
Nearby towns of Knoxville and Pella have plenty of activities, restaurants and things to do if you’re not just here for the lake. Overall, this was another great COE park but I wish it had water and sewer hookups. The bathhouse in Ponca loop was clean but dated and you can’t control the shower temp. It comes out at a decent warm temp but in the evenings, it was too warm and there was very little air circulation.

Fantastic stay. The only complaint I have is the barking dogs all day for 4 days of the 6 day stay.

Very nice, quiet campground with big yards and firerings.easy access for my 35' tt. A good amount of shade trees while cose to the water and just a short drive to the beach. I would recommend.

Many improvements since the last time I was here. Bathrooms are older but kept extremely clean. New dump station is nice with multiple bays to minimize waiting in. The new walking trail to the beach was a much needed improvement. I'm glad to see the addition. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The only negative thing I can say is that there are only 2 trash dumpsters which are both located outside the campground entrance by the dump station. This is inconvenient and it would be nice to have a dumpster next to the entrance of each camping section or by each bathhouse.
