What Guests Are Saying
Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

Beautiful, spacious park with lots of hiking/biking paths. Campsites were very nice, level. Bathroom facilities were a little rough for handicapped, but serviceable and clean. Enjoyed our stay.

This is a great campground. The sites are huge and flat. Loved being on the bicycle trail. The only problem is that the cell phone reception was bad. No way could we work remotely from here.

We ❤️ Howell Station, however, the previous occupants and occupants across the road left the spots a mess with lots of balloon debris. No fault of the park volunteers. A toilet was wobbly, informed the volunteers and a new one was the same day. Always plenty of 🦌 & bald eagles and pelicans to watch. Large spots.

My only complaint is the trees need to be trimmed by road ways. Do not like for trees to be rubbing these expensive campers.

Love the campground at Howell Station! Have camped in all loops of the campground, most recently in the prairie loop. This loop is quiet and peaceful. Very well cared for grounds, paths, and bathrooms. Ample volunteer attendants and other staff. It’s on the bike trail, can bike through all the other campgrounds,
A great huge lake for kayaking! Great walking trails!
Be sure to visit the nearby Red Rock visitor center!

It was my first ever camping and me and my wife had a great experience here. We don't have a RV so we got our tent with us. The bathrooms were clean and the facility was well maintained.
Staff members were kind and helping too.
