Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. We've had several family reunions at Howell Station over the years. It's a beautiful and well maintained campground. Facilities are always clean. We will continue to camp and have our reunions here due to the spacious shady sites.

This is a large & beautiful COE park. Sites are large, level, & lots of space between sites. Sites are all well shaded & areas between sites are grass. Park is convenient to Pella.

Great spot on the water and very friendly hosts. Higher number spots seemed more level and shady but all were great. Only here for a night but would have liked to stay longer. Best army corps I’ve been to with cell service for working on the road like me (T-Mobile and att had great service). Also some of the better showers at this a.c. park

We loved everything about our stay in this beautiful campground. The sites are very spacious and well kept. There were lots of trees providing sufficient shade for the 90+ temperatures we had. Showers and restrooms were clean. Our site was right by the river, close to the pedestrian bridge, and we enjoyed afternoon and evening strolls along the trail or across the bridge. Just be aware that internet coverage is very poor, we always had to walk on the bridge to get at least 2 or 3 bars. ;-)
