The Sugar Bottom Campground is located on the shores of Coralville Lake. The Coralville Lake Project is a multipule use project providing primary benefits in flood control and low flow augmentation, and secondary benefits in recreation, fish and wildlife management and forest management. Coralville Lake provides many recreational opportunities, including boating, camping, hiking, mountain biking, lake and river fishing, swimming, water activities, picnicking, and hunting.

One of our favorite campgrounds! The entire campground is well maintained, always clean. The full hook up sites have a lot of shade, which is wonderful.

Site 7 and 6 are a joint site, there is nothing separating them. You get your own table and fire pit but one open land. All the other tent sites here are separated by trees/bushes. Wasn’t a problem for us as no one was in 6 during our stay, but heads up to others who may want to camp at this site you may have to share property. It would be an awesome site otherwise!

This was our first time here. We were in site 308 The site was great and the campground was very well maintained and beautiful. Access to the water was good also. We have a special needs daughter with us and a few swings would have been nice. Thanks
