Camp site's were clean enjoyed fishing off the boat dock. Caught enough channels to feed our whole group dinner one evening.
Was very peaceful and a wonderful setting.

We enjoy camping at Card Creek. There's bank fishing right there. You can launch a boat or a kayak at the boat ramp. Lots of things to do in Independence. Our favorite is Ralph Mitchell Zoo and Park. There are hiking and walking trails in and around the State Park. Our only complaint is the shower house. It's absolutely filthy and needs upgraded!

Always well maintained campsites, really need to trim the tree going out of the park exit past the Camp host cannot get through there with a fifth wheel without scraping the top and the sides also can't get into the dump station with the tree at the entrance
