What Guests Are Saying
Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

Campgrounds very clean and bathrooms were open even though early in season. We had a great stay

Site 31 in the North Loop was very nice. Close to the lake but not a very clear cut trail. Site 30 was very similar but slightly smaller with a nice path down to the lake. Neither 30 or 31 had water but there were several spots close that do. It is kind of a long walk uphill to the bathroom so if mobility is a concern a site like number 25 or 18 would be easier on the legs.

My family has been going as far back as I can remember. I will continue to make memories here for years. However, I do remember the Campfire pits being cleaned out after each person left so they were not in Mound full. And walking on the beach in the off-season, it was spotless with not a speck of grass growing up. The online check in isn’t as nice as in person.

Had a great site with water and electricity. However, our camping friends, who had electricity only, had to run hoses to our site to get water. There were 3 different water spigots close by (that were assumed to be for people without water at their sites to fill their tanks), however none of them worked and none of them were noted as not working. Something as simple as putting a bucket over the faucet or a tag stating out of order would have helped.
Also, the firepits were had not been cleaned out for some time.
Having said all that, we still love Mound Valley and will return every year.

Check utilities at each site very carefully. Sites directly across the road from, or even next to, each other have different utilities available.
