What Guests Are Saying
Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

Our campt host Tony was very helpful. The sites were nicely spaced and the pads were fairly level. Several really nice ones with walkdowns to the lake. We booked off internet never being there and was very pleased with our choice. We will be returning to Mound Valley. Also, the beach is the cleanest, largest and sandiest one yet.

This was our second time there but we love the area. The only thing I can think of on the minus was for 6 days we shared the spot with bees. But that is nature. I wasn't aware that bees love beer. The little fella got into the can and when I took a drink. .... yep he stung me on the inside of my lip.

All around the campground is stunning very clean the person at the front was super nice and even joked around with us.
It would have been 5 stars but the spot we stayed in seemed kinda small. Not much wiggle room with our hybrid. (the power hookup was super close to one of the beds we couldn't even let it down and the front of the pad if we moved it moreover we would have been stepping out into a downward hill). I tripped and skinned up my leg pretty good on the pad from a crack it had. I should also add that some of the sites like ours have a semi steep pad from the road. The bathroom was a tad bit dated. The door got stuck going in and out of the bathroom. But other than that it was a great spot super shaded and peaceful. The beach oh my it was super nice it has built-in umbrellas!!! We will for sure be back to camp here again! Also we have Verizon cell service it got2-3 bars and we have T-Mobile wifi it worked great!

Lovely area. Bathrooms are kept clean. The park ranger and staff patrol regularly, especially on the weekends. Beautiful lake and nice trails. Thanks for this gift to Kansans.

The bathrooms definitely need some updating, but the campsite was nice and shaded with access to the lake and a great view.
