What Guests Are Saying
Curtis Creek Campground is well-maintained and offers a beautiful, peaceful environment with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts. Guests appreciate the great fishing and scenic views of the lake, making it a popular destination for families. However, some areas need improvements, such as upgrading the bathrooms and adding 50-amp service in certain loops, as well as addressing some unlevel campsites.

Really enjoyed our stay. Close to boat ramp and swimming beach. It was quiet since we were there during the week and close enough to Junction City to go out to eat when we wanted.

We had trouble with the electrical outlet at our site. We were not able to run our air conditioner and other electrical components at the same time without blowing the fuse constantly. The fuse was replaced which did not resolve the problem. Later they changed something else in the electrical box which helped some but would still periodically blow the fuse. The Park Rangers and volunteer was VERY helpful, kind and courteous!

Curtis Creek Park Campground Loop A was excellent. Even though many of the sites were in the sun we found one in the shade for our tent. The campground host was fantastic and always ready to help or give out information about the lake. The shower house between loop A and C was good. The men's restroom at Loop A was not cleaned very often and had a leaking cold water faucet that spilled down at the feet. The gentlemen taking care of the restroom repairs said there was nothing to do about it except let it leak. I will definitely come back only if the restrooms were cleaned more often and I did not have to stand astride of a pool of leaking water from the sink.
Nearby Junction City had many restaurants to eat at and many historical places to visit. Unfortunately only the Geary County Museum was open. Heritage Park was a good place to visit for monuments. All other museums were closed especially the three on Ft. Riley grounds. The Ft. Riley curator and museum phones did not return my calls of inquiry.
While we were at Junction City we attempted to do some antique shop visits. Only 1 of 5 were opened even though the others said they were opened online. We did not find out they were closed until we went to the front door.
All in all, this was a good place to camp and a nice town to visit.

Very clean camp ground. Excellent camp host, came down & fixed our 30 amp breaker in no time at all. The nature center & fish hatchery below the back side of the dam is a neat place for family fun at Milford Lake.

One of the worst Corp campsites I’ve seen. Needs severe maintenance on the entire park.
