What Guests Are Saying
Curtis Creek Campground is well-maintained and offers a beautiful, peaceful environment with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts. Guests appreciate the great fishing and scenic views of the lake, making it a popular destination for families. However, some areas need improvements, such as upgrading the bathrooms and adding 50-amp service in certain loops, as well as addressing some unlevel campsites.

Very clean facilities for a campground. The showers are clean but need a little upgrading.

Would recommend Curtis creek to anyone but they need to clean up park C so it looks like park A. It was nice to be right along the lake.

We love this campground! We have camped with friends here twice and have one more weekend scheduled. The beach is great and most of the campsites have great shade.

The Curtis Creek area at Milford Lake, KS is an excellent area to camp. There is nice shade trees, includes a play area for the kids, close to the water's edge and boat ramp very close.

Picked the wrong time to go, hot and muggy. People working there very helpful and I hope the leak in the men’s restroom sink gets fixed soon, notified staff. I just think it could be a safety hazard with water on the floor. The people of Wakefield very friendly and had a great meal at Suzy-Q’s Grill.

Quiet, rural campground. We stayed just one night on our cross country drive and it was obviously a popular site for fishing. Our site was A020 and was not perfectly flat, but okay. Nice playground for the kids and gorgeous view of the lake.

The host was very helpful. We did not know you needed reservations, and cell ser vice was bad for my phone, so he helped me to get a reservation. And helped chose a great spot. Only downside to this campground is that there are very few shady spots. We do hope you get things back to where they were before the flooding. Bathrooms were clean.

First, I chose site 5, and your map showed it backed right up to the lake. But, when I arrived, the site directly on the lake was 15, not 5. No, I did not make a mistake, your map was wrong. Number 5 was too short and angled down hill. Next, I wanted July 13-16, but your only availability was July 12-14; your web site showed the park as full, and me lucky to get those days. But, except for one other camper, NO ONE was in park. Every site was empty. Because my RV would not fit on 5, I parked on another site, but stayed hooked up, in case I had to quickly move. It’s a good thing that I did, because I had to move twice, not because of anyone coming in, but because of low amperage electrical service. My TOP OF THE LINE power monitoring equipment showed that my unit was receiving between 15 and 20 amps from a 30 amp RV hookup; it would not run even one AC. I finally moved on to a double site at the end, backed up to the lake, and used a ‘Y’ cable to plug into 2 separate 30 amp hookups. That should have given me max power at 50 amps, but it did not; it gave me 30-40. Finally, the park manager never came by. There was no one available when I arrived, nor when I left. I am from Texas and we have top quality COE parks that are a pleasure to visit. I will not return to this park, nor will I recommend it.
