Outlet(Melvern)

This is a favorite of ours. Not happy about the removal of washing machines or the fish feeders. I understand the whole “cashless” thing but the laundry facilities were a nice convenience. Also, the fishing was not as good as last year although I understand the removal of the feeders was a state thing.

Clean facilities, quiet and family friendly.

Very Well, kept place, Camping sites have plenty of room in space, beach close by the big water reservoir pond they have there is nice to put your kayaks in and enjoy! Nice hiking trails! A place that you feel so comfortable in that I never felt like I even had to lock my car doors or my camper doors

The staff and volunteer workers were very friendly and accommodating. Also, the restrooms were clean.

Melvern outlet park is one of our favorite places to stay and it didn’t disappoint this time either. We took our grandchildren camping and they loved it too. Between the biking trails, playground, and swim beach we had no trouble keeping them busy.

The campground was very good even though it stormed. Down limbs were picked up promptly. However my problem is with rec.gov the web site. My sister and I reserved two sites and they were confirmed but rec.gov changed our sites to some that we had previously without notifying us. It was kind of confusing. Also it was very windy today and in the name of safety I wanted to reserve the site I was occupying and it was available for the one day but the website wouldn’t allow me to reserve the site. Apparently the corp does not need the extra money this transaction would have brought in.

We like camping at Melvern as it is well-kept and quiet. Everyone is very friendly! Now, if we can just get the weather to cooperate all would be perfect ;) We did have to go to the bath house during storms one night and that experience wasn't great. A better set-up for a storm shelter would be good. Not sure how the wood roof would stand up in extreme winds and the brick walls could come in on you. The water drainage around the shelter is not good...the gutters dump right into the doorway on the sidewalk and run over in the parking area. Need improvements there. They blocked off and then took out the fishing dock last year. Its hard to fish over the the rock sides of the lake. Need a dock on the C-loop side! They've also removed the fish feeders and in a week, no fish were biting...are they even there? Otherwise, camping is great.

The breaker needed reset several times from just using the AC and the microwave, or the electric water heater, until I used my 50 amp adapter, and used the 50 amp plug.

Great campground, quiet, clean, nice e staff.

We love the Outlet Lake. The grounds were very well taken care of.
