I had a wonderful time camping here! As always, the view was absolutely beautiful such a peaceful and scenic spot to relax and unwind.
This year, I noticed a big improvement in the facilities, especially in the group camping area. The shower house and bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh throughout our stay. In previous years, the outhouse would occasionally give off some pretty unpleasant odors, but that's no longer the case!
The new couple in charge of campground upkeep Jim and Tammy are doing an excellent job. They've clearly put a lot of care into keeping every area clean and well-maintained. The outhouses are now stabilized and maintained so well that they're not noticeable anymore.
It's been great to see the positive changes with the grounds. Looking forward to coming back again!

Our weekend getaway at Turkey Point was very enjoyable, as always. It’s one of our favorite places to unwind, and I’m glad to see the positive changes in service are still going strong.
Jim and Tammy, the groundskeepers, continue to do an outstanding job. The way they interact with campers is truly professional—they make a point to check in and ensure everything is going well, and they do it with a level of friendliness and care you’d expect at a hotel.
Their presence adds a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to the campground. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it really shows in how well-maintained and inviting the entire area feels. Looking forward to our next stay!
P.S. Another reviewer commented about the tall grass, and I’ll say I’ve only experienced that during one camping stay and I camp here about six times a year. It’s important to keep in mind that mowing services are contracted out and not done directly by Turkey Point staff. Sometimes things happen. Overall, the grounds are consistently well cared for.

Still my favorite campground at Melvern lake! Always a friendly and safe atmosphere. I never feel worried to leave out chairs and floats for fear they will be taken.

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the campground. The bathrooms were clean, everywhere I went. The grass was well mowed. The campground was much improved from the last time we were there.

Clean bathrooms but why can they never mow the grass? We are camping and walking through 2 foot tall grass to use our firepit of gonm to the shower houses is unacceptable.

This was one of the nicest parks we’ve ever stayed at ! Most sites faced the lake. It was well maintained and the sites were very well spaced. We would definitely stay here again!!

Really good campground. Very quiet, quick access to water. They accept any type of dog and the bathrooms are clean.

We really enjoyed our campsite and view of the lake. The campground was clean, and Jim keeps those bathrooms in tip-top shape. They are the cleanest and best-smelling ones we have ever used at a campground!

Lots of open space. Not a whole lot of shade but a good location. Very clean, mowed and trimmed. The volunteers working were very nice and helpful!

We have camped here many times and always enjoy it for several reasons. It’s quiet, well maintained, clean, patrolled, great views and mostly good sites. We stayed at 22 the last time there and it’s a great non electric site with shade, space between neighboring sites, and right on the water. Has a great fire pit location and a well grated site. There is a decline toward the water
