Site 30, Turkey Point. Very close to the lake with a stone path to get there. Shaded.

The proximity to the lake was a highlight and the open space for dog walks and hikes was also a bonus but the shower facility was top notch…I could have lounged in the shower for ever! Hot water, very clean and real shower doors which gives plenty of privacy - loved it!

I have a 4x4 overland truck. The tent spots are on the lake shore, table and bbq pit facing fall sunrise. Very low light pollution except from Osage City. There is a very active trail track. You’ll hear the train horns at night. But the lake view and shore waves were a great sleep aid. Restroom and shower were clean and working, lots of hot water.

Site:
PROS: well spaced from other sites, great 180 degree lake views, good fire ring placement for lake and star views, easy lake access for kayaks, fishing, and floating, close access to showers and toilets
CONS: not the most maintained site/uneven, needs additional gravel, not a level site , no shade at site

We love this campground. Never any loud parties, great place to fish and the showers are clean with great water pressure.
