The day and evening were hot but the partial shade provided by the trees at the site and the breeze that blew off our lakeside location made all the difference. Bathroom & showers were very clean

The location of this campground is perfect. Our site (A07) was right on the water. However, this wasn’t the best place to tent camp. We were actually the only one of 159 spots tent camping. Every other spot was taking up by RVs. While I would recommend this location, just keep in mind if tent camping to pick a location closer to the bathrooms/showers and other amenities. Also, because it’s close to the water, make sure you bring your bug spray/bug protection. Within minutes or arriving, we were covered in mosquitos. The sunrise though was amazing!
