What Guests Are Saying
Minooka Park is a beautiful and clean campground with spacious sites and stunning views of the lake, making it a favored destination for families. Visitors appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, amenities like playgrounds, and the friendliness of the staff. However, some concerns were raised about the need for more electric camping spots, maintenance of facilities, and issues with no-show reservations.

Don’t understand why there are so many primitive spots and and there are so many people wanting to camp at electric and can’t get a spot. Why not add some more electric spots. Taking away camping at our docks has made things more complicated. This is our favorite thing to do with our family. Let us camp at our docks again!

WOW. This is a hidden gem. The whole park gets views but this spot is just wow. Stunning. We walked down to the water and enjoyed the relaxing of the lake directly from our spot. There were 2 playgrounds which was great! The 2 bathrooms/ shower house we utilized do need some TLC with paint peeling from the showers- BUT we hit some very very significant weather while here and took shelter in the shower house and felt very safe in the concrete building.

This is a great COE campground about a 10 minute drive north of Interstate 70. We were there on a Sunday night and there were only a handful of other people staying at the campground. Several of the sites are right up against the lake. Some of the sites are not exactly level but leveling shouldn't be much of an issue. Likewise some of the bathroom facilities were still closed which was likely due to us being there during the off-season. We would definately stay here again if traveling through the area. We live in Denver and it was as easy 5-6 hour drive from Denver.

Lovely spot with nice shade and a decent view of the lake. Campsite is large and tucked down hill from other campsites. Nice gravel spots that are decently level, you may still need to use a block or two to get it perfect. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful campsite. Elevated on a hill that overlooks the lake. With the camper backed in it provided a perfect view of the sunset. No water at this site but there are spigots nearby to fill up a water can if your tank needs a top off. Large gravel site that was decently level, you may need a block or two to get it perfect though. Honestly I would highly recommend any of the sites available at this park.

Minooka was great, off season and enjoyable. Couldn’t maneuver the new system to make payments but ranger Eric came to our rescue again.
