Camp hosts were phenomenal. Very welcoming! Bathrooms were clean and plentiful. I'm sure we managed to entertain airing up our Kayaks and SUPs. We had so much fun on the water and after cleaning up, the hosts found an oar we left behind and brought them to us. We had a great time. Campground is clean and didn't feel like the campsites were too close to be comfortable. Some of the sites were a little more difficult to maneuver especially for relative newbies; another camper came over and gave us the assistance we needed. Overall epic vacation. If visiting Mammoth Cave, make sure you have tickets in advance. Tickets to other than the self guided tour were not available during our visit. Bummed after driving from Colorado. We still had a great time and visited some of the privately owned caves.

we stayed at the lodge for 9 days and had our kids and grandkids stay in the campground for two weekends and it was wonderful. The campground is very clean and the shower house is also very clean.
The owner and all of the staff of the lodge was terrific the food was great. I will be planning on staying there as often as I can.
The new owners of the marina are terrific also they made room for my boat to stay in the water so I wouldn't have to take in and out everyday. They have plenty of what ever you need in the store. We plan on moving down at wax in the future I love the people and the lake its my retirement place to be.

Wax campground if our absolute favorite place to go. The view is beautiful! The grounds are always clean and we love that the local police drive through several times a night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wax. Our site, A002, was on the water and had plenty of space between us and the next site for privacy. We rented a "Tritoon" from the marina around the corner and were able to anchor it just off the beach for some tubing and exploring. My only complaint about the campground is that there was a fair amount of garbage surrounding our site. We spent some time cleaning it up to make it a little better than it was when we came in.

Campground was very nice. We had an enjoyable experience. Bathrooms ran out of hot water a couple of times. It would be nice to have a beach for swimming. Overall would recommend. I like your campground too.
