We have visited Wax Campground several times and enjoy each time, however on our last visit there was no gate attendant at the gatehouse so if did have a complaint, we wouldn’t have any contact. Also, at one time the bathroom was a total mess and it’s normally very clean. What happened?

You guys need a beach and a better playground. The side we stayed at only had like 5-6 swings. Not very much for kids to do

All in all our experience was good. The bathrooms were nice and big, stocked with toilet paper. The only bad thing about the bathroom was the shower water temperature. The water would start to get cold 5min into the shower especially when another person is in there showering, so be prepared to either take a cold shower or get it done FAST. The campsites were for me a little to close together, at our campsite we had to pop our tents up on the gravel we had no grass space at all. On that note we tent camped not RV, the electric on out site kept kicking off. We were trying to cook and it kept kicking over and over, so we had to cook from our griddle on low which took forever. We had no clue who to contact because we had no gatehouse staff the whole time we stayed. We just learned how to work around it. There is no beach swimming area at all in the campsite. We had to leave and go down the street to another recreation area to swim which was a nice area. Everyone we came into contact with was super nice! We could make and receive calls/text but no internet at all and we have AT&T which isn’t a complaint since we are camping and all just for the ones that want to know. All around a good experience just a few bumps in the road

So we had to reserve online, and then we had to pay an extra $6 to reserve online. We had only a tent, and would be paying nearly $40. So we wanted to choose the best site we could, and each site has a picture. We chose one pictured right on the lake. We were so excited, our son had his swimming gear, we shared on social media how great the site was. But, as we were soon to learn, none of the B sites were on or near the water. Ours was in a somewhat wooded area, and to get to water we were told we'd need to drive to A and go in between campers. That was awkward and disheartening; and false advertising. So don't go by the site pictures. The 'beach' and lake was way too rocky to walk into, and then the rocks so slippery that even in our shoes we couldn't swim there. Such a disappointment, all because of fake pictures assigned to sites.

I have been camping at Wax for many years and it is always awesome! It is a clean campground with great camping spots. The restrooms are always super clean with hot and cold water. I appreciate all you all do, and I will continue to camp there in the future! I highly recommend staying there!

Site was spacious with water access-plus lots of trees. Many different birds to watch and alot of fish activity-wish I had gotten a fishing license!
Bathroom/shower facilities were very clean.

Hi there folks. This was our first camping site since we recently purchased our camper. We we're impressed of how nice and quiet the campground was and our site was the best for us, private/shady with great water views and perfect for sitting in the shade and feeding the friendly ducks and watching the 5 turtles swim in the water with our 2 puppydogs with us. I learned that the 3 families of ducks loved Gold Fish/CheezeIt/LuckyCharms without the marshmallows lol. We are planning to go back in the next month to this site. Check In Guy/Campers were nice and friendly. Thanks for the wonderful camping experience. See you soon.
