What Guests Are Saying
Pikes Ridge is highly praised as a clean, well-maintained campground with beautiful views and friendly hosts, making it a favorite for many families over the years. Guests appreciate the spacious shower facilities, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent access to water activities like kayaking and fishing. Some minor concerns include the narrow access road and occasional noise from generators, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The electricity went out twice. We were told this is to be expected as it happens all the time. The rock has not been maintained as the small gravel was all but gone. There is not a no wake zone around the park. This has to be dangerous for the very young and old. I have never ben to a lakeside park that didn't have a "no wake zone" enclosing it. It seems the liability would be huge since this is the only lakeside camp ground I have seen with this issue. I talked to one camper who stated he had Called The Corp of Engineers and was told they were not going to change it. When looking at the three items ( which are extremely important) it appears the Corp has kicked this park to the side. Why don't they close it. They obviously are not maintaining it.

Superior Staff. Park Rangers are superior and go above all that’s required of them. The campground is maintained beyond anyone’s expectations. Clean and Quiet. Perfect place for children. The Taylor County Sheriffs department are also doing a excellent job in patrolling the Campground daily. The overall rating by me is this campground is the best in the COUNTRY! No one could ask for a better place to camp.

By far my favorite campsite in Kentuckiana for water accessibility! My husband and his brother each caught fish and we always love our time here.

Nice waterfront site. This campground has potential to be a nice one. As of right now the lack of showers and flushable toilets hinders my rating as a 2. Portable toilets empties only 1 day a week. Gets pretty nasty on hot days. Grass needed to mowed throughout my stay as well

Great host, wonderful views, clean secure campground. Half the sites are primitive and most sites are on the shoreline. Best site for us is #5. Keep in mind that there are no bathhouses or facilities. There is a boat ramp and a small beach area.

Was great until the people next to us came in smoking weed with several children running around, guy in a red Chevy drove through our camp site. Was told we would get a refund for that night, haven’t seen it yet.
