Campground and sites were very nice and well spaced. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The private campground boat ramp was a huge plus. Unfortunately, the single dump station on the way out made the stay less than desirable for a return visit.

The lady at the front check-in was very helpful and courteous.
Our site was convenient to a boat ramp. The site itself was clean when we arrived and very spacious, we will return.

Not a fan of the online reservations at all. Spots sat open all week long and nobody could reserve them because people reserved a whole week just to stay Friday-Sunday. The local people who want to take a spur of the moment camping trip can’t because first come first serve isn’t available except on a few spots which I’ve noticed are premium sites so double the money.

I have camped at Holly Bay for years, and this is the worst maintenance I have ever seen. The grounds needed mowed and weeded and the sites needed gravel. The bathrooms need updated badly as it is nearly impossible to wash your hands in the sinks because of the sink knobs. The showers aren't much better. However, the location of the campground can't be beat which is why I keep coming back. There are other campgrounds in the area now that have better amenities and are more up-to-date.
