We loved being at this campground, the pay for showers were fine but nothing great. The staff was all super helpful and the place was quiet. My son and I really enjoyed the cave tour also.

My husband and I were only there for one night, but it was a pleasant one. The campground is well laid out and quite full of people, especially families. We were there on a Friday night though, so I suppose that is to be expected. Nice bathrooms. No showers in the campground, although coin operated ones were nearby. Our only complaint is the little RV nearby was running it's loud generator while the lady sat outside and smoked her cigarettes. Folks like that should just stay at home and leave the peacefulness of nature to those trying to enjoy it.

Really great sites for hammock camping. Campground was peaceful despite being full when I stayed. Wonderful nearby trails and night event put on by the park staff. Campground host, nearby store - every person I encountered was amazing. Be ready for no cell service and bring quarters/cash for the showers.

We were lucky enough to be told the one of the host sites was empty and available on a first come, first served basis. We paid the additional fee and had a site with water, electric, hookup and deck. Of course, that is not always guaranteed, and we would still go back because it is so peaceful and beautiful. We weren't even going to the cave because we have been there before. We were just enjoying the bike path and hiking trails.

The lack of electricity in the campgrounds is really disappointing. And toilets and urinals were out of service continually during our stay. A lot of money is being spent on high-cost, luxury accommodation in the park. Please put some money into the campground.

Campsite big and generous and full of shade. Staff was friendly and lodge and welcome center had many wonderful amenities. Cave tours exceptional too!

We enjoyed our stay here. Site #90 is super close to a bathroom, the camp store and the showers (which are attached to the camp store). The camp store is ridiculously over priced so skip it, especially for ice. The coin showers are fine. Small but good water pressure. Bathrooms are always quite clean. The location is amazing. No need to drive to see the visitor center or to go on your cave tours. You can walk. Parking at the center is a nightmare on weekends. The squirrels ate through plastic bins (like literally through the thick plastic) to get to food so lock it all up in your car. They have no fear! Rookie move on my part. Quiet hours are not enforced at all. Kids are up screaming until midnight and/or at 6:00 in the morning. Be prepared. We would stay again since the stay was overall quite nice.

Great campsite, great trails, clean bathrooms, and super nice staff!
Came here tent camping with my wife and 2 dogs and we had a blast! We will definitely be returning in the future!

- Note: Do not rely exclusively on your mobile GPS, Google Maps or similar automated navigation systems to get to the Mammoth Cave Campground. Routes can be misleading and incorrect.
- Directions from the North: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 53 (Cave City Exit). Turn right onto KY-70. Follow 70/255 as it becomes the Mammoth Cave Parkway in the park. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
- Directions from the South: Take Interstate 65 to Exit 48 (Park City Exit). Turn left onto KY-255 and follow 255 as it becomes the Park City Road into the park. Follow Park City Road until it joins the Mammoth Cave Parkway; turn left. Follow the Mammoth Cave Parkway towards the Visitor Center. Turn left into the campground by the Cavers Camp Store.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 65, with exits at Cave City (Exit 53) and Park City (Exit 48) leading to KY-70 and KY-255, respectively. These highways connect to the Mammoth Cave Parkway, which provides access to the campground.
