What Guests Are Saying
Axtel campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, particularly Vickie, who ensures a pleasant experience for visitors. Many families enjoy the quiet atmosphere, spacious campsites with easy access to water activities, and a welcoming community of fellow campers. However, some guests noted issues such as low water levels, closed restrooms, and occasional noise, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experiences reported.

Nice camping area but the park attendants were very unfriendly. They clearly did not want to be there and seemed bothered when asked questions.

Worse service I have ever received at any campsite. The host was very rude. The bathrooms were dirty and cold. Couldn’t get toilet paper off those flat holders. When went to check in she wouldn’t give me two passes which I had put on reservation that had two cars because other one wasn’t with me. With the crazy hours they work there wasn’t any way they could check in when they were getting there. The check in and out hours are crazy and need to be changed to earlier hours

The check in host was very rude. I ask for passes for two vehicles and because other car wasn’t with me wouldn’t give to me which makes it hard since operation hours suck. The bathrooms were cold dirty and hard to get toilet paper off with those stupid flat holders. Spider webs all over in there too.
