It’s a great place! Very easy to get in and out of and lots of kids for your family to play with. Restrooms are clean but old. Have difficulty getting an ATT signal or WiFi so don’t stake your trip on being connected.

Activities in the area should be posted or given out on a flyer. Grass is growing up through the gravel on most sites; looks terrible. Gnats and mosquitoes are really bad this year, so I guess they don’t spray. Shower heads are old and don’t work well in some showers.

A great camp ground. My last site was on the water. Looking across the lake at the lights of others reflecting in n the water and the Sunrise Beautiful. A very clean well kept facility.

Adam is very nice ranger. We have enjoyed our stays camping. We have tried various sites. Over the 4th holiday - late night fireworks went over quiet time. The dock marina at the Lodge needs some TLC. We climbed the path but it was a challemge. Love the area❣️

The best campground at Rough River! Need to be more lenient about parking( in grass) during holiday times. I know money is tight but need to tidy things up better like it used to be for years.

Begin at ramp onto I-64 West toward New Albany/St. Louis, traveling 22.3 miles. Take the IN-135, Exit Number 105, toward Palmyra/Corydon, onto IN-135 South toward Corydon, traveling 16.7 miles. Continue on Bypass Road KY-79 for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto KY-79, traveling 10.1 miles. Continue on 1st Avenue, KY-79S for 495 feet. Turn a slight right onto US-60, traveling 11.8 miles. Turn left onto KY-259/KY-79, traveling 9.7 miles. Turn right to stay on KY-79, traveling .7 miles. End at 663 South Highway 79, McDaniels, KY. Distance is approximately 74 miles with an approximate travel time of 1 hour, 20 minutes.

General
- Off-road vehicles are not permitted
- Park Attendant can be reached while on duty at (270) 257-2584. If no answer, contact the Rough River Lake U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office at (270) 257-2061.
- $5 per day boat ramp fee
- Reservations will not be marked in advance at the campsite. Do not set up at any campsite without reserving the site first.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Generators and other noise-producing devices must be turned off during this time.
