What Guests Are Saying
Axtel campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, particularly Vickie, who ensures a pleasant experience for visitors. Many families enjoy the quiet atmosphere, spacious campsites with easy access to water activities, and a welcoming community of fellow campers. However, some guests noted issues such as low water levels, closed restrooms, and occasional noise, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experiences reported.

Wish the ground on left side of the parking spot would be lower where you could drain your tanks into your cart (honey wagon) without having to pick up on your hose. Other than that it was great. I feel so fortunate to have places like we have to camp.

This CG is one of our faves! The CG was clean, new trees have been planted. We really enjoy this CG as it is right on the lake with beautiful views, a beach for swimming,(we have not used) and access to Nicks boat dock is right across the street. Everyone is helpful and friendly.
This is the first time our trip involved 4 dogs right next to our site. They barked at everyone and everything.
We mentioned it to the hosts of the CG.

Bathrooms need cleaning more often. Power outlets are mounted at ground level and was under water during a rain storm.

We love camping at Axtel. The campground host is always friendly and polite and we got to know them through our years camping there. Anytime we had issues the host was always able to take care of them. The campground is always clean and even with kids running around it has always been fairly quiet.
