The experiences this year has not been good. A few downfall to camping there this year. No trees! The trees have been dying off since last year. They have not made any effort to plan any good size trees that will grow fast enough to create shade. The baby trees they are planting are to little for any kind of shade especially for the primitive campers. They will take years to grow. The Wi-Fi is horrible for whatever reason I don't know what has happened but the Wi-Fi is not working with my phone at all. A text message is very hard to send let lone a phone call to make. Other campers have complained also. The bath house has been updated they look nice and the lake itself is gorgeous . The 4th of July was wondering with the fireworks over the river. Thank was so enjoyable to watch. Love camping at Rough River I been going there most of my life. The hosts at Axtell Don and Joe are wondering people yet this is there last year. They will be truly missed.

I enjoy camping very much but lately there are tents in the electric spots and so no room for campers. And when they set up tents there may be 4 or 5 tents in one spot. There are many times that there is no room for campers in electric spots and most of the primitive spots are available because they are using the camping spots for campers. Many of us are looking for more camp grounds because of this reason
Thank you

For years the bathroom at Axtel have needed redone during the own season. This years they are even worst then ever I enjoy Axtel and my family and I have been going there for over 15 years but they have coded at Lareul branch and Cave Creek to enter there bathrooms so it makes it harder to drive to a cleaner Nicer and private bathroom to take a shower and not having walk threw millions of bugs and grime like Axtel. ( how many coats of paint can you put on a wall until it time to redo it including floor up to the ceiling) The folks that run it are super nice so it not them but someone needs decide to redo the bathroom at Axtel.
