What Guests Are Saying
Axtel campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, particularly Vickie, who ensures a pleasant experience for visitors. Many families enjoy the quiet atmosphere, spacious campsites with easy access to water activities, and a welcoming community of fellow campers. However, some guests noted issues such as low water levels, closed restrooms, and occasional noise, but these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experiences reported.

Pretty view and quiet. Attendants were very nice. There was garbage on our site from previous guests and the showers are very dated and in need of repairs. Perhaps they should check campsites upon departure and send the guest a friendly reminder if it is not left in suitable condition. I did not appreciate having to pick up someone else’s garbage. Otherwise, it was relaxing.

The lake and campground are fantastic. The only low point was the cold showers.

Area was wonderful. But the entire time we were there we felt like we were being judged by the park attendants.

Great for the whole family. Beautiful place and river. Lots of peace and quiet. Large river for boating and swiming plus much more. Sit are well maintained. Rrstroo.s could use some updating but still nice. Will be going back.
