We stayed there for 10 days in October. Love the campground, but the shower house was only cleaned a couple times the whole time we were there. Some sinks and toilets were stopped up. The other bathrooms were not cleaned the entire time there. Our campsite had some garbage on the site as well as the fire-pit had lots of garbage from the previous campers. We had actually stopped in at the site the day before we camped to make sure it was going to work for our needs. The same garbage was in the site then. We have been to other campgrounds and seen the volunteers come around the sites and clean up before the next people would come in. We did like having free WiFi hotspot while there. There are several dumpsters through out the park which is great. The dump station is backwards meaning you have to pull all the way out and come back in to dump, then go through the park again to turn around to leave.

Our campsite (007) was small, and it is right next to the interstate. You can't see the highway, thanks to a fence, but you can most definitely hear it. It was loud and unexpected. You are also right next to a home and you can see the Dollar General across the street. Not exactly a wilderness getaway, but if you're looking to be close to the boat ramp you're definitely that. We rented one of the primitive sites down by the water to spend our time while there and just used our camp site to make meals and sleep.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to North Fork campground at Rough River Lake.. all the restrooms were in working order and the disabled shower was a pleasant surprise and added to the pleasure of the stay.

Campground is peaceful and the grounds were kept nicely. Bathrooms/houses were less than stellar, even for a campground. Other than that, not bad.

The campsite was very well maintained. The loops are a little tight for larger rigs, but manageable with a 37’ fifth wheel. Quiet campground, clean restrooms, friendly rangers, free WiFi, beach nearby. Overall good experience.

We enjoyed our stay at North Fork. Miss Courtney, the Park Ranger, was very nice. She stopped by as she was patrolling and made sure we were ok. Even though we chose our campsite (#62), we were right on the road and didn’t feel safe about that. We will definitely come camping there again, but choose a different site.
