We really enjoy coming out to North Fork. The locals are very nice and we enjoy just fishing and relaxing while we watch the boaters.

The overall place is great, we enjoyed our 2 weeks stay. The lake is walking distance and we used our kayak which was a plus. The male camp host was a grouch, not to failures with the computer system, they did help us as we arrived early and they were able to get us in and then we had to move, but that was out fault. The trash dump had a hole in the bottom so when he trash truck came trash did come out and was left behind. Overall I would come back for sure they had 30 and 50 amp and water. I was able to work there using both Verizon and AT&T with no issues. The hardware store is close and is where you can get propane and wood. Overall a very nice place and again would come back. Loop A was the best service for Verizon and AT&T and spot 4 is one of the nice spots with a large area and a view of the arrivals and going.

The Army Corps of Engineers does a great job providing recreational opportunities to the public. Their campgrounds are well designed and taken care of. We will be back.

4th of July weekend a guy a lot 51 was unruly and cussed his kids out daily Tony Thompson was his name drank from sun up to sundown was worse weekend in my 40 years of camping at north fork

It is very close to a nice public beach and Dollar General is right down the road.

This would've been a beautiful camping trip had it not been for our noisy disrespectful neighbors and lack of any observance of quiet time. There were bright lights and music and tv running all night long at our non electric campsite. These people came with all power equipment and used it out loud. We left a day early after their first night there watching adult cartoons all night long. And fired up their generator at 630 am to start charging everything for the next night. We will not be back. Oh well.

Begin at ramp onto I-64 West toward New Albany/St. Louis, traveling 22.3 miles. Take the IN-135, Exit Number 105, toward Palmyra/Corydon, onto IN-135 South toward Corydon, traveling 16.7 miles. Continue on Bypass Road KY-79 for 2.1 miles. Turn right onto KY-79, traveling 10.1 miles. Continue on 1st Avenue, KY-79S for 495 feet. Turn a slight right onto US-60, traveling 11.8 miles. Turn left onto KY-259/KY-79, traveling 9.1 miles. End at 9077 South Highway 259, McDaniels, KY. Distance is approximately 72 miles with an approximate travel time of 1 hour, 15 minutes.
