We stay at twin knobs frequently. Always great staff, clean campsites, beautiful scenery.

Our visit was fine, but we were very disappointed to find that at least half of the campsites do not have electric or water hookups, making it difficult to reserve a spot. The whole week we were there, several of the loops were empty because of the lack of amenities. There is no playground on the campsite anywhere. It was well kept and clean. The beach was a little disappointing as well. It was mostly dirty gravel, although the grassy slope was a nice are if you were picnicking. The beach by the dam was even worse, very small and very rocky. Not nice at all. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but the water for the showers was scalding hot with no way to adjust the temperature. Also, the sink faucets only stay on for about 3 seconds. Only allowing 6 people per site was not very family friendly in our opinion. There are only 2 vehicles allowed per site, unless you pay and extra $8 per day for and extra parking pass, even though there are extra parking areas throughout the campground. Overall, our stay was fine, but we definitely see where there is room for improvement!

Clean and modern bathrooms. Trees provide privacy. Shoreline bike trail is accessible from camp sites. Enjoyed my stay.

Very good infrastructure and lots to do. The water was nice and swimming great. Nice little hike up a hill. It would be good to remember that there are boats available for rent at the marina which can be an interesting day outing on the lake.

Campground was clean and quiet as usual. The Bathhouse had one restroom and one shower room out of order for the 5 days that we were there. This left one bathroom and one showroom for the entire Loop to use.

We’ve camped at Twin Knobs for 25 years and have always found it to be a beautiful campground and a wonderful lake.

We stayed on A7 with electric hookups. The closest water was about 100 ft. or so away. The site was easy to back into and it was pretty level. We had room for my 37 ft. RV and a truck parked in front. There is some additional parking just up from the site. There is a trail down to the lake just beside this site. We parked our boat in the bay behind A loop, so it was an easy walk down to the boat. The new group, Vista, has made some improvements at the campground. The dump station had new hoses and a little better set up than last year. The forest service is doing some blacktopping in the campground to make improvements. The trails have been cut back and cleaned up. I'm hoping that when we get a new ranger for this district that he or she will be more aware of what needs to be done for the Daniel Boone National Forest.
