We stayed at D13 for 6 days mid-June. Our camp host was so kind and friendly. The camp is generally well maintained and felt safe. I would not suggest this campsite for people that enjoy a more secluded and quiet experience. I would also not suggest it as a restful place to stay on weekends or holidays: there was a lot of noise from kids yelling/crying, generators running, and boat traffic at the lake not too far away. The boats did not stop until we’ll after midnight when we first arrived. The site we picked was next to a dumping facility, which was always loud (think of a lawnmower noise except day and night, non-stop). For some reason, the lavatories closest to our site also seemed to be pretty loud, but I didn’t notice any of the other lavatories making such a loud motor noise. Our site was not shaded (it says partial shade on the website, but the trees do not cover the camping pad). I think we would have had a better time at any other site, but none were really private. I don’t think we’d return to this campground again, but I do think most people and especially families with small kids wouldn’t mind it there, or would actually enjoy it there.

The only problem we have is at site B10, the driveway on the right has a huge drop off. it makes it difficult to back a camper or to pull it out. Otherwise it is great there.

We have stayed at Twin Knobs multiple times and always enjoyed it. This last trip was awful. The had resurfaced the campground with blacktop and left at least a 3-4 inch lip. We have a fifth wheel that we pull with a Chevy flatbed. In order to back into our spot, without scrapping the rear jacks and underneath plumbing of camper, my husband had to have the truck in the ditch, pretty much on side. Our friends also have 5th wheel pull by pick-up, he ended up twisting his camper and dented and messed up his liner on truck bed. When reported they kept saying it was a work in progress. Very unsatisfied.

This is the PERFECT campground. The campsites are very spacious and clean. There is lots of room for the kids to ride their bikes, play basketball at the basketball courts and go swimming at the beach area. Overall, a wonderful camping experience!

Twin knobs is always our favorite campground. The repaving will make a great improvement so it wasn’t too inconvenient. There was a lot of poison ivy along the trails though. That made hiking risky. We love the sites and beautiful lake!

Very peaceful. Loved that this site was right in the water. Lots of shade, nice level gravel pad made setup a breeze. Only dropped a star because you couldn't really see the lake from the campsite and the path to the water was way overgrown. Would've loved to be able to put our kayaks in from the site, but there was no way to get them to the water. Overall, it's a great site and we'll definitely be back.
