Despite the rain storms we had during our stay my family had an excellent time and the Lake wasn't as busy as it normally is during 4th of July Weekend.

Large wooded campsites give additional privacy from neighbors.

Nice campgrounds spaced out and with plenty of privacy due to heavy tree/wood coverage.

It was our first visit to the campground. Loved this campground. Sites were large and wooded. Trail to the lake was well cut!!
Although no water on site, water was available throughout the loop. Our group will definitively be back!! Staff goes beyond to clean each site!, and it was evident. Each site was immaculate.

I love this campground. It has a lot of rules and restrictions, which typically make for a very peaceful Camping trip. However, this time there were a Group of campers that had numerous children between them and they ran around on electric bikes (which I have never seen here) up into the night after 10:00 pm quiet hour. As
Strict as it is, I was very shocked campground
Host(s) allowed this to happen. Plus I’m not sure either that electric bikes are a good idea in a campground
For safety reasons. I have kids and I like kids, but these were out of control. I have been camping at Cave Run for 46 years. It is my favorite. I hope this was just a one time
Event.

Your recent paving made all the difference. Very clean and tidy. Give your staff an “atta-boy” for a job well done.

Practically zero to do on a stormy or rainy day. Very little hiking. Terrifying amount of poison ivy in the region. Camping store was so small and practically nothing in it. Not really souvenir stuff. Local stores 15 minutes away were really bare. Not sure why this place is so huge with so little in the area other than boating... which is not fun on a stormy or rainy week. Bike rentals would have been nice... camp activities... We drove way south to find a park to do something other than sit in our campsite or go on the one short hiking trail available that was manageable to mostly avoid poison ivy.
We had the group camping area to ourselves which was wonderfully private... though there was a ton of maintenance work being done which was very nerve wracking, especially with no where to go to get away from it other than our tent while it was raining and storming.
