We come to this campground every year at least once. This year was not as enjoyable we had a spot across from the camp host and she had decorations for Halloween all great until it was dark out and the lights stayed on all night. The spot next to us had a camper and they must have been afraid of the dark as well there lights were so bright I never once needed a flash light and I could not sit and face the fire pit because of the lights. The morning we were packing up to leave the septic truck came to pump the camp host camper and spilled sewage all down her driveway and about 200 ft down the road. Other then that we had a good time.

Absolutely love Twin Knobs campground! The campsites are all settled back in to a little patch of trees, with a real private sense of camping. The lots are all very level for easy RV setup, with fire rings and picnic tables and have a small private space in between each site. You’re never far from a shower house. Beautiful sites! Not like most open side by side and front to back RV camping parks. If you love a tranquility experience and still be around like minded campers then you should treat yourself to Cave Run Lake camping and bring your bikes and kayaks for some amazing Lake side camping experiences!

Great campground!! So well kept!
I’ve camped a many federal campgrounds. This is one of best kept, clean, organized ones I’ve seen!! You can tell they really care!

What a great place to relax with the family. The facilities were clean and well kept, including the bathrooms and overall grounds. We look forward to returning soon.

I can't express how pleased I was driving home after 3 nights and 4 days of sporadic thunderstorms, wind and rain. I knew the forecast and decided to go anyway and am so glad I did. Everyone from my greeting at the check-in to check-out was just the perfect bit of friendly. All doing their jobs while stopping to help if I even so much as looked their way. The night I arrived and set up my tent a storm struck with very strong winds. I was hunkered down in my tent hoping a branch wouldnt crash through when I heard someone yelling "IF IT GETS TOO BAD, HEAD FOR THE BATH HOUSE! I looked out and saw the F Loop host Lando (as I learned later) speeding off in his open golf cart heading to the next camp with a tent. I was impressed. The bath house was spotless everytime I visited.
All of the staff appear to have the right combination of being helpful yet respecting the privacy I searching for.
Thank you all,
Nick M.

Everything was, as usual, very enjoyable at Twin Knobs except for the bath house situation. The camp hosts explained that they think the backed up drainage was a result of some troublemakers prior to our arrival. The hosts were very noce about the whle thing and this only took a little of the enjoyment away after all. We have been camping as a group at Cave Run for 18 years this year and we will definitely be back.
