What Guests Are Saying
Zilpo Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for many long-time visitors. While some amenities, such as hot water availability and maintenance support, have declined, most campers still enjoy the private, serene sites and the access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, issues like noise from other campers and limited store supplies have been noted, highlighting areas for improvement.

Awesome location, so quiet and peaceful! A welcome escape from the noise of the city with clean and functional amenities. We greatly enjoyed the clean, safe cabin, and dinners cooked over a campfire. We will be back!
. My only request would be additional traffic calming measures such as narrow roads, textured road surfaces, speed bumps or pedestrian infrastructure. Walking the campground road sometimes proved nervewracking - vehicles tended not to follow posted speed limits or suggestions

I was charged a reservation fee of $8.00 that I didn’t agree to. The park was mostly closed. The portable water sources were shut off, the beach was closed as were 4 loops (over half) of the sites. None of these things were mentioned in the parks website. Greatly disappointed.

Parking a boat is difficult I will not leave my boat overnight some mile or so without anyone guarding it. have too much money invested in equipment to let this happen. had to rent another campsite to accommodate the parking of a boat I had two sites rented one for a friend and when he arrived site manager made him move his boat. I realize that this is a campground however without the lake and people coming to fish camping would be somewhat slow. I did not realize that the shower facility an site D was non existent and had to travel to site H to take a shower very inconvenient. Needless to say my stay was not enjoyable.

Our family loves camping and spending time on the lake. We’ve seen wild turkey and deer passing within feet of our tent on a quiet morning.
