What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Park was not full at all in the middle of summer. Good basic campground. The womens room has a ratty old shower curtain in the shower stall for privacy. That is not safe nor does it offer full privacy. I would choose a different campground for that reason. I specifically pay for a site to be able to shower. Otherwise I could sleep in my suv at a gas station. I would not stay here again.

This Campground is very similar to other NPS campgrounds in Shenandoah, just much closer to DC. You can still hear some highway noise, but otherwise everything was great.
