Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

I like the fact that the camp area was easy to navigate at night. I didn't even need a flashlight to head to the bathrooms. I will say that I was unhappy that the shower facility was down, however the notification was on the website. Keep up the good work!!!

Love it here
Even though we are in the pitch black woods I still feel safe and love that I can choose how close I can be to the ranger’s station

The site was very large! Plenty of room for several tents if needed. We had to walk to loop A for showers but it wasn’t too far. The car sounds from the highway were there but the campground is so close to everything it was worth it!

Beautiful place. The workers are wonderful. Barbara/volunteer is kind and helpful. Please fix women’s shower in area A and B.
