What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Very enjoyable experience. The one thing that needs attention is the men's bathroom in the B Loop has a leak that appears to be from one of the toilettes. Other than that a good experience.

Homeless with shopping carts in multiple camp sites. We were awoken by an assault- woman screaming/glass breaking and park police around 2am. Next day there was blood in sinks and blood clots in women’s shower.
It has nice trails and proximity to metro (2 miles recommend driving), sites are generally nicely wooded.
Drive around area before reserving- don’t stop if you still see blue tarps or shopping carts.
A shame as this campground is close to being a great one.
