Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. Campsite was good, staff was great. Bathroom is a bit on the small side for a group site (2 stalls + 1 shower on the mens side). The location is great for group trips into the DC area.

My husband and I had a great time at this camp ground, there is a great hiking trail that goes around the circumference of the site. Some spots are better than others for sure, but we liked the D loop the best because it was so grassy and private. The process getting there was very smooth and bathrooms and water stations were a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Although it rained the whole time I camped (which meant lots of ticks everywhere), there was so much to see and do in the Washington DC area. Also, there was plenty of shopping nearby in case I needed anything.
