Greenbelt Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Washington, DC, offering a safe and peaceful environment. While bathroom facilities could use some updates and maintenance, the campground overall is well-maintained, with friendly staff and a beautiful natural setting. We came for a weekend getaway, from inside DC. We enjoyed hiking, and the playground, and hanging out at our campsite. The bathrooms were fine. Staff were helpful and friendly. The dump station worked. What more could you want?

1. The Campsites set up configurations seem to be well thought out and organized. Well done.
2. There's plenty of available Firewood throughout the campground, however I'm not sure enough information was given or understood about gathering it for the campsite.
Ex: Since the Firewood is truly available, Are campers free to cut (with their own responsible tools) sizeable wood pieces for their campfires? etc.
