What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Sites were not level, and there was broken glass around that was concerning for playing children. The bathrooms have many broken tiles and spiders living in all corners as of the bathrooms are not cleaned often enough. Great location though, and the showers have nice pressure and temperature.

What was great about this campground was the cost and the proximity to Washington DC. It was very shaded, lot's of trees, fairly quiet. We were able to take a trail to the metro station at the Collge (was about a 30 minute walk), or you can drive to Greenbelt station in about 12 minutes. The bathrooms were always full of crawling bugs. Even though they were cleaned daily, they did not clean out the spider webs, bugs or empty the trash. Definitely need to wear your flip flops in the shower!
