What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

- there is a road down to metro station at college park. By bike you will be there in 15 minutes. Up takes a little longer. The road is in bad condition, be careful!

A real gem for connecting with nature right outside of DC, but there is a train that blasts it’s horn throughout the night on its way to the Metropolis.

Great campsites and park for DC visitors. Not far from the DC Metro, you would have to drive and park to the metro. There are many super markets and restaurants nearby for your supply needs. Our Scout troop camped at Loop A reserved for youths and it was a nice arrangement. Highly recommend.

Campground Host Spencer (and his dog Ringo) was wonderful - checked to see if we needed anything…gave us trail info to Metro station. The perfect base camp for visiting DC museums etc. only about 1-1/2 miles from College Park Metro Station (Loop D is closest to Metro trail). The shower/bath facilities could use a major upgrade - they are very old - but we’re always clean and well-stocked
