Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Rustic campsite with calm, amenities for a good shower. Perfectly located for visiting Washington without having to use our car.

This campground is a great place to stay if you’re planning to visit Fallingwater. It’s peaceful and private, with large campsites. The electric hookup at our site worked perfectly and the restrooms/showers were kept clean and functional, and it was nice to be able to use the communal dishwashing sink in the bathroom. However I found it less than perfect that there was only one water pump for a dozen or so campsites and it was a bit of a walk to get water. We were there in May and I would definitely recommend it for that time of year. The little runoff brook next to our site was charming.

We have been trying to get into this campground for several years and it finally worked out. Our campsite was just right, not too far of a walk from the bath house. We were able to make a very short drive to the subway Metro parking lot and enjoyed many days in the DC area. Everyone was wonderful at the park

- there is a road down to metro station at college park. By bike you will be there in 15 minutes. Up takes a little longer. The road is in bad condition, be careful!
