What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

I stayed at this Campsite for a few weeks. During that time frame I've race Extreme Racism and discrimination. First, I asked One of the Rangers if I could stay longer and he said okay because the campground was basically empty. Because of this, the other Rangers were clearly irritated with my presence event though I did nothing at all to them or anyone but stayed in my campsite quietly and follow every rule. But They did Alot of SLICK things to me because clearly they didn't want me there. Like If I rented a Space and all the other spaces around me is empty, they would wait until it rains and they would reserve my space even though all the other spaces around me is empty, just so I would have to move my tent in the rain. They did this to me on 4 separate occasions and when they renty space nobody shows up normally to stay in the space. Another issue is one day I was sitting in my space in my car eating, one of the people that clean the park and is Always starting at me weird lol, he use the leaf and blew a yom of leaves and DIRT, Rocks in my car and my windows were down so the dirt got in my car and in my food. I Noticed that he didn't blow the leaves and DIRT on the other couple that was staying across from me car. Also, when I would sit in my car on my phone or tablet, this same guy would drive by my space and slow down when he reaches my space to stare at me. It was weird. Also, the last day one of the Rangers told me that I had to leave even though I asked One of the Rangers for an extension and offcourse it was raining, they like to see me move my tent in the rain. Clearly it makes them feel good to do alcok things to a woman. I told the Rangers it okay, I can leave tomorrow since I already paid for today. I think said I just have to leave for 7 days and I can rent another spot right, The Rangers told me no. I'm only allowed to rent 2 weeks Maximum. I knew that was a lie and for some reason this Rangers who lives on the campsite just doesn't want me there.

We were only there one night and it ended up being wayyyyyyyyy to cold to sleep in our tent, but other than that all was good. We didnt even really need to stop at the Ranger Station to check in. They have your name on the site on a card, you set-up and do your thing and then pack up and head out at the appropriate check-out time and all is good. The bathroom was clean and close to our site. There's plenty to explore and the property is clean and well kept.

Very nice and conveniently located just 13 miles from city centre. We parked the RV and Ubered into the city for sightseeing. There is a metro about 3 miles from the park.
