What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Great experience. The rangers there were very helpful. It is a great place to stay when visiting/touring Washington DC.
Areas for improvement would be the bathroom stalls themselves. Note the toilets are great and clean, but the metal dividers and stall doors were broken and badly needed replacement. Again, the toilets, sinks and showers all worked great and were clean.
We are looking forward to staying again to visit DC.

Nice area with shaded campsites. Flat paved areas are ideal for small pop up campers to level upon. Lots of hiking trails and easy access from check in to check out. Price per night very reasonable. Only minor complaint was the bath house was locked near our campsite so had to travel to another (there are many around). The sights are pretty close together so not a lot of privacy. All in all a nice place and I will likely return for another visit.
