Great cabin. Stayed in cabins 28 and 29. They were close to the women’s bathroom. The women in the group appreciated being close to the bathroom. Firewood also was close by. Every bed had its own outlet great for charging phone. Cell service was ok. Did not have a chance to use pool but it looked nice. Rangers were very helpful and orderly. Overall a great experience! Would go back in a heartbeat!

We love this place. My mom has limited mobility so we booked cabin 44 which has a ramp and paved path to the pool and bathhouse. She was over the moon to be spending time in the woods after not being able to do so for many years.

I am part of a Baltimore Folk Music Society that has been using Misty Mount for over 30 years. The NPS not only does a superb job of keeping this in good condition, but it manages to make improvements while still keeping the feeling of the place as it always has been. The new bath house and swimming pool is an amazing improvement. Ms. Pumphrey, who handles dining hall rentals and other arrangements, is a gem. The rangers and even the cleaners are friendly and helpful.

Always a lovely time at Catoctin and Camp Misty Mount. The falls and lake are nearby, hiking trails connected to the campground, and plenty of wildlife to see. I brought my camera and bird lens to practice on the many species of birds and reptiles that we saw: (huge!) woodpeckers, various colorful birds, a skink, a black rat snake, chipmunks, etc, all of which I could photograph from our cabin's porch or a short walk around the campground.

Reservations Required. Book reservations up to 6 months in advance. Walk-in reservations are not available. You may reserve the entire Camp Misty Mount (29 cabins). The campground capacity is 127 people |

Parking. No parking or vehicles are allowed in cabin areas with the exception of initial unloading and final departure loading. Vehicles will be permitted in cabin areas for persons with a disability or otherwise limited physical mobility. |

Check-In: Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Upon arrival, reservation holders should park at the camp office. During duty hours staff will check-in guests, after hours check-ins are completed at the camp office, staff will leave information outside to assist late arrivals.Check-Out: Check out time is 12:00 noon. Guests are responsible for cleaning up the cabin interior and exterior prior to departure. Check-out and cleanup instructions will be posted inside each cabin. Please follow the clean-up/check-out instructions posted inside your cabin. |
