Stayed here for two nights at the end of September. As a solo traveler, I wanted to stay in the middle of the campground, and site 6 met that requirement. It is right next to the bathroom, which is both a positive and negative. Every once in a while, I'd get a whiff of the bathroom, but the convenience of being close to it late at night definitely outweighed the bad! There is a walking bridge from the parking lot on the road (parallel parking along the side of the road) that comes out between site 7 and 8, so it's not a terrible walk down to site 6 (on the other side of the bathroom). The site is down the hill under two trees with its own campfire ring and picnic table. The bank was grown up when I was there, so that particular site didn't have a view of the river. It is a nice spot, with easy access to a coffee shop and bar about 7 min drive away and with Shepherdstown about 10 min away.
