Campground and porta-potties were clean. The campground has not trash receptacles on purpose. There was some transportation noise from aircraft and railroads as can be expected in that region of the Maryland, but there was not road noises in the campground.

Great stay! Our group booked sites 4-6. It was gorgeous on a fall weekend.
The bathrooms were well maintained.
One consideration is noise from large groups camping nearby- we had small children, so the noise late at night was disruptive (and my guess is they correspondingly didn’t appreciate our noise at 7 am when the kids got up to play).

Nice spot. As described. Fire ring and picnic table were in good condition. Previous campers left it in good condition. Wood delivery service was a life saver and a good value too.

From Hagerstown, MD: Take I-70 W to Exit 18 towards Clear Springs. Make a left onto U.S. Route 40. About a mile (1.6 km) later make another left on Martin Street. This road will head out of town for a few miles. Make a right on MD State Route 56. Then a few miles later make a left on McCoy's Ferry Rd. The road will dead end at the campground after passing under the tunnel.
The campground is accessible via I-70, with Exit 18 leading to U.S. Route 40, which connects to MD State Route 56.

- Vehicle height is limited to 10' 3" due to tunnel access.
- Motor vehicle traffic is not allowed on the towpath; parking is permitted in designated areas.

- Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings, but wood cutting is limited and fires may be banned during drought.
