What Guests Are Saying

Flowing Well Campground offers a rustic camping experience with well-separated sites and clean, well-maintained vault toilets. It is pet and ATV friendly, with picnic tables and firepits available. While there is some road noise and bugs, the campground is generally enjoyable, though it's advisable to bring your own water due to issues with the water supply.

We spent 2 nights here. It's a primitive campground. Vault toilets were clean and well maintained (even had a can of flying insect killer in it). There is some road noise. The sites are well separated. Overall we liked the campground.

6 campsites on the river. Pit toilet. Bring your own water. No RV hook-ups. No hook-ups in general. ATV friendly. Pet friendly. Firepits with grated grill top. Picnic tables at each site. $24.00 a night. Campsites 3, 4, and 5 are pull through. Campsites 1 and 2 are first come first serve.

We stayed and loved it. Tent camped. It has bugs because it's outside... Pit toilet was clean. Water spigot was missing so bring your own water or filter system for the river. You can cut downed wood so bring chainsaw or an ax. We bought wood in Manistique on the side of the road. Faint road noise, but wasn't a big deal. Close to ATV trail access. Camp hosts greeted us on our first day, super friendly. It's rustic camping. If you are into that then I highly recommend this spot.

Nice campground but lots of biting bugs. The water valve at the well was not working as of this review of 7/1/2024. Flowing well was flowig but there was no idication that it was safe to drink. Good T-Mobile cell phone signal with extender. The campground is elevated aove the irver, so you are not camping next to it.

Beautiful rustic pull through site with plenty of room for a tent or an RV. Awesome view overlooking the Sturgeon River. Very clean outhouse! (only 1 for all 6 campsites). Good cell service with att.

This is a gorgeous campground! But, the mosquitos are murder!! I wonder if there is some environmentally sound way to keep the mosquitos from coming up to the campsites and keep them down by the river to feed on frogs.

The area is beautiful and the sites are nice, bad mosquitos so plan accordingly.
Really disappointed in the upkeep, USF contracts with vista recreation to maintain it but they aren’t doing much.
User stated last year the water was broken, it’s still broken.
Stayed a whole week, and they only refilled the toilet paper once, it was out by the third day during a holiday weekend. Luckily I had my own.
No trash, a small trash can by the day use area, all the campers piled their bags up around it and it stunk.
For the money it should be better.
